1989-1991 | D.C.M. (Deputy Chief of Mission Israeli Embassy in Vienna, Austria (dealt with bilateral and United Nations issues)  

1991-1993 | Syria Desk Officer, Center for Political Research,Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jerusalem. Syrian desk officer, dealt also with the Syrian track in the peace talks in Washington D.C (the Madrid process).
